I dropped my kid off at school and parked with the windows open. I put the truck in park (it's an automatic trans) and turned off the engine. As the key got to the last position i heard a subtle grinding noise, like metal grinding, under the vehicle. It lasted all of one second. It happened again when I turned it off at work, but for a shorter duration.
FYI, I changed the transmission filter last weekend (nightmare). When I got to work today I checked the level and it was high (half inch above . Will drain some later when I get home to get level down. Overall shifting smooth and no leaks I can see.
