Is all the mechanical linkage still attached? Have you tried to switch it on the lever/arm on the TC itself? What else have you tried?

i have to get up over 45 and im in 4 low. if i could figure out where the hose came from i could replace it and get it home. but i cant see anywhere it would have come from. would i be able to take the cover off of where the vacum lines go in and move the fork myself?

It would still be in low and shouldn't go faster than 45mph...but there would be no binding.

Should be a linkage problem, or you didn't need 4low and the TC is done. Drive in reverse while turning both ways slightly, then shift to neutral and try to shift the TC.

The transmission has to be in neutral to shift the TC

I'm saying drive in reverse to attempt to loosen the TC, sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn't.
