Stripped oil pan mounting threads
JeepDriver, I have thought of creating studs, as you described, studs will be the last resort.
Anyways I went ahead and ordered the necessary Time-Serts to hopefully amend the situation. I fear though that I may need a size larger than what I have ordered, should know by at least Saturday.
Thanks for the help everyone!

It sounds like this was the first time you had ever dealt with Helicoils and you didn't read the instructions well of do the work properly.
I suggest you take it somewhere and have it done before its to late.

What type of auto shop would be able to do such a repair, would I have to take her to a shop which does machining?
MY MAN!!!!

I wasn't quite getting what you meant at first about the timing chain cover. I googled it and viewed some images and in fact the timing chain cover is the front portion of where the oil pan mounts and exactly where the stripped threads are.
