Hello all, I was getting my 3 in RC ALL Kit installed in my xj and it looks like it needs an adjustable track bar but i havent heard of needing one for a 3 in lift. is there any way around having to get an adjustable track bar or do you need one? Thanks alot.

I put the kit on my 96 and the only problem I had using stock everything that didn't come in the kit was the t case had to be lowered because of drive line issues. Never had an issue with the track bar, measured before and after and both were the same. Which 3 inch kit? The short AAL's made my already weak springs sagged, ended up rebuilding the leaf pack adding the 2 longest springs from each side of another XJ pack I had and the AAL from the RC kit replacing the shortest spring. Another something I did after the fact was buy a set of RE LCA's on here for $35 plus shipping that made a world of difference. As your will experience, when your lift you have to get bigger tires, stock tire made my XJ look like a clown car, 31's rub the stock LCA's when your crank the wheel real hard, the RE LCA's are a tubular design and I haven't rubbed since I switched.

It was the 3 in Short AAL kit with 2 in adjustable shackles and 3 in coil springs. The axle is definetly off center and the shock mounts is almost sticking into the side of the passenger side coil spring. could i just relocate it or the time being or get an adjust. track bar?

I have a 4.5" rc kit so I dont know if this applies to the 3" kit but here goes. in the instructions for my kit it told me to drill a hole 3/4" over from the existing hole on the axle mount for the trac bar. so thats what I did. seemed to work fine for me but I'm still going to buy an adj trac bar and beef up the mount before I install it into the original location. rough country lists their instruction manuals on their website for reference
