Default Stock Spare Carrier?
How big of tires have you all fit in your stock spare carrier? I've got 30's right now but i also have a toolbox bolted down in the hutch...and didn't have much room for my 235's...any ideas?

I found a rear mount one at the jy,or you can get an aftermarket carrier,I only carried the stock spare,and it was to big for me.

You could probably put a 31" on it without any problem. Might be a little dicey after that.

In my 99 my 31" hit the seat. The seat can't latch in on the left side

I cany even get my 30" in my back with out just laying it down. It hits the seat to bad and wont close the door. Maby Im just doing it wrong if you guys say it fits. lol

im carrying a 30x9.50 goodyear wrangler in a 99 xj sport and its hitting the speaker in the roof and the hatch barely clears it.

I also have a carseat in m back seat so I cant unlatch my seat maby thats why. lol

When he said "spare carrier" I was assuming external carrier. The internal spare mount is only good for a 30" tire.

The only place I think they put them was inside and the external swing out.
