Stock Radio
I have the stock AM-FM dolby cassette radio in my 95 xj. The AM side works good the FM does not. (most of the time) Seldomly it will pick up a signal and work and it sounds great. It was like this when I got the jeep. I pulled the unit out, cleaned it and made sure the antenna had a good connection, still the same. I'm wondering if the FM side has its own separate receiver or booster as I think the problem isn't the radio itself. I'm not into crazy loud boomin systems, I just want something to listen to and I'm a fan of stock OE stuff. If worse comes to worse, I'll just have to put in a new unit. Help anyone?

behind the passenger side foot kick panel there is a connector for the antenna after it comes through the inside of the fender. Mine split open and the plug fell out killing all FM reception. I stuck it back together and used a hose clamp to hold the split socket around the plug. Works great now.
