2000 Cherokee 4.0 with runaway throttle.
I replaced my head gasket yesterday and when I got it all back together, I fired it up and the RPMs red-lined within a second after it turned over. I checked my intake manifold for cracks/gaps. Everything should be the right torque specs. The only thing I can think of is the TPS, but I can't find anything on the web or in Haynes about a runaway throttle caused by TPS except an article about SUA (Sudden Unintended Acceleration) on 93-95 Cherokees. Can anyone help?
