I found this link online. $10 for a front skid? Has anyone ever purchased one from here or know anything about them. That seams extremely cheap. I know they don't really do much for protections but want it for blocking splash from mud on the engine.

That does seem extremely cheap but if its a mopar part id think it would be decent. Couldnt tell what it was made of but i have a steal one that was on my jeep when i bought it. I went to take it off last weekend because it was bent and dangerously close to interfering with my steering. But once i had it off i realized how exposed the engine was(especially the crank pulley) so i straightened it and put it back on for now. Might be looking for another one as that one is poor quality so if you decide to order one let me know what you think of it. But i think they are necessary even for daily driving.

That is cheap. I pay $20 from the scrapyard. There is also a rubber 'splash shield' that goes under motor and covers serpentine belt area.

For $22 shipped, I'm about to find out. Other parts on the site weren't as cheap, they wanted close to $300 for the fuel tank skid plate. I agree with front end for dealerships statement. In my BMW days, I used a similar site for parts that offered a substantial discount. Even with shipping it was cheaper than buying directly from them. I don't have a Jeep dealership close by to compare pricing, maybe someone else can comment on other prices.

Ya that seems really cheap to me, especially with the gas tank skid being $300. I am considering trying it out to see if its the real deal. If anyone does order one let me know if its right. If so that is a heck of a deal for it!

Engine: Supercharged 440 Magnum punched .60 - yeah right.. 4.0 like everyone else.
I used this site to buy my dust shields for my front breaks and both L&R rear brake lines across the rear axle. Took a little while to get them to the house, but they were OEM.. not remans. They had the best price around.
I'd say this was a plastic splash shield... if it is metal... by all means... LET US KNOW!!
Thanks,
JR
