Stock alignment question
I have read through quite a few alignment after a lift threads and know the procedure. My question is about alignment of a stock "non-lifted" '91 XJ.
This jeep moves slighly to the right when going down the hiway. I wouldn't call it a "pull" because it is not that severe. My question is which side should be adjusted if it now moves to the right? Or is it simply a matter of getting that 1/8" toe-in? Yes, I will be checking air pressure before I attempt the alignment.

Toe will not effect the pull. Toe that is bad enough will cause a wonder problem. Your vehicle will probably pull to the right because of the road crown. The only way to help this would be to adjust your caster to that it is higher on the right side then on the left side. This will compensate for road crown. Unfortunately you really can't adjust cross caster easily on our vehicles. You need adjustable ball joints. Other things could also be causing a pull. Tires, Tire pressure, a brake dragging ect.

I have a question related to this:
My mechanic says that I have a worn track bar and steering box. However, before I get this taken care of I need to get new tires ASAP (winter in Colorado). Will I be able to hold an alignment even for a little while?
