Steering wheel airbag damage
Just acquired a 95 4dr 4wd sport XJ. The previous owner hit a tree years ago and the airbag deployed so it’s toast.
Do I have to replace the exact type of steering wheel with an airbag or can I go with something different?

You can do whatever you want. FYI, the airbag cover can be removed from the airbag, and they will sell the covers at junkyards. I haven't ever seen a yard that sells airbags though.
The SRS light will stay on though.
