Default Replacing Steering Wheel?

Hey. Question: I want to replace a steering wheel on a 1996 Jeep Cherokee 2WD with a steering wheel from a 1993 Jeep Cherokee (I much prefer the three-pronged steering wheel from the early nineties models). Is that possible? Easy?

Please forgive me if that's a basic question. This is the first time that I've been proactive in trying to learn something about cars. Thank you.

Does yours have a airbag?

The one that I want to take out does. The one that I want to replace it with does not.

I was thinking of doing the same thing to mine. The 95 and 96's have the manual airbag. There are no wires to it and its merely a mechanical device that sets off the airbag. I think its possible but may have to change out the whole column. Not sure. Hopefully someone on here will have an answer.

Your blinker shut off won't work and neither will your horn.
Other that that they bolt on.

So the shutoff won't work, but the blinker still will?

Also, is there a separate way to get the horn to work? Can I still wire that somehow? Or will it simply be lost forever? I rather enjoy blowing my horn at people (I'll usually supplement that activity with a fist shake). That may be a deal breaker.

Thanks.

From what I've been told you would have to swap the column for them to work.
