Default steering stabilizer quick question

I have completely stock steering on my 00' XJ 4x4. I want to buy the RC stabilizer for added support, but am i missing something here?

do i need to buy anything else, or is that kit a direct bolt on install?

this is what im talking about..

Thanks in advance

yeah it bolts right in, I did mine only a few weeks after I got my jeep. I had occasional wobble and pretty sloppy steering. DW never came back since and along with tightening the steering box its made the steering much stiffer, more responsive and just overall better.

I got mine though ebay for $35 from topguncustomz along with the rubber boot for it, just talk to him and order directly from him and hell throw in the boot for free and give you a good deal

you guys do know that a stabilizer is just a band aid for issues you are having. right?

is you have a correct alignment and everything is tight you do not need a stabilizer.

yeah yeah, but right now a $35 steering stabilizer is cheaper than alignment and whatever else it needs, plus it will only help even more once everything else is proper.

I got an alignment to stop my wobble but the steering stabilizer did help my bump steer so i would still get it.

no it wont. the stabilizer will not be doing anything WHEN everything is proper

and again. its just a band aid. i would rather fix my bump steer then having it ruin anything else.

but hey. do whatever you want! its your $$ to waste!

So what is wrong with my Jeep?I have bump steer ,thats why I put one on.I had it aligned and everything is very tight. All bushings are good, new shocks, coils, hub units, ball joints and no play in anything.
