Default Steering overhaul

Hey guys so I been putting it off because of financial reasons but the time has come lol the amount of play in my 91 xj steering wheel is scary the bolt on my dragline to pitman arm is bent my tie rod and steering tube are bent and I need a stabilizer I been looking around but I have a 6" long arm kit it is my daily driver and is a death trap waiting for something to snap and I not be able to steer it so for you guys with lifts what kinda stuff you running I'm shopping around looking for ideas!

With that much lift I'm sure your running good size tires. You honestly need 1 ton steering. B. Lee and serious offroad both make great kits. OTK would be your best bet but UTK would work. OTK normally requires you to relocate the stock track bar axle side mount. Will require a bit of welding. Also with the bigger kit you will have to do some drilling on your knuckles and pitman arm.

I'm also running a 6.5 inch LA suspension on 35s. I went with B. Lee Off Road crossover steering. I'm going to run it UTK but it does require drilling out the knuckles and pitman arm. From what I've seen they all require this to run a HD bolt to hold up for the 1 ton steering upgrade. Good luck hope this helps.

Heim steering is not 1 Ton Steering.
I Ton Steering uses GM 1 Ton TRE's, heim steering uses....you guessed it, Heim Joints.

Yea in running 33's is one ton the most practical for a daily driver I hit the trails not often tho
