Steering kickback
Noticed wet steering pump high pressure line so replaced line. Then noticed that at full left or right turn as I brought the steering back to straight, got catching in steering wheel (not severe, but noticeable, as I've been driving Cherokees since 1985). Replaced steering stabilizer ( did not correct) and checked wheel bearings (seem fine), and cannot fine play in rod end bearings or stabalizer bars.
Could pump not be performing well (even no squealing, leaking pump. or hard steering experienced)?
Or maybe ball joints? 211,000 miles 4.0 L.
Ideas? Thanks.

My vote is on air on the system as well. Check the fluid level and do a PS pump bleed (IIRC this involves running the engine with the PS cap off and turning the wheels back and forth a bunch of times).
