steering column cowl replacement steps
I would suggest the OP download the Factory Service Manual before attempting this job, and I think the previous answer may be cryptically alluding to that.

I also suggest sequential digipics after EVERY item is removed, with the occasional video as you go
My bad...sorry...a T15 Torx allen key (on '96) needs to be inserted from underneath..a regular bit is too wide to get up the holes

The best thing I bought was a complete set of Torx screwdrivers. My T15 is very worn from Chevy tail light lenses on my trucks.
pretty handy to have when you run into the mongrel things, as Security bits also work on the ordinary Torx

I was being a bit facetious. So why do you want to remove the cowl? Are you trying to fix something? X2 on taking pictures as you take apart something complex. They are invaluable when you're putting it back together and wondering "Did this wire go under or over that rod?" and "Where does this leftover washer go?"
