yah i replaced plugs and wires thinking it might be that but it wasn't. it throws a multiple misfire code every couple months. i usually just clear it and keep driving. it hasn't thrown a code in like 4 months but you can hear it missfire when its idling. plus i think i got a blown head gasket or valve cover gasket cause she leaks oil pretty good.

 

Well, the bad head gasket will cause a misfire for sure. You should notice steam out the exhaust if its bad, or water consumption in the radiator.

lol ur jeep kinda sounds like my jeep. mine is a 91 Cherokee 2 dr 4.0L. I got it for free with over 200k miles on it, it was driven in NYC for all that and its been a few not so serious accidents. the left and right mirrors were broken so i fixed those, manifold gasket was leaking oil so i fixed that, water pump broke so i fixed that, then radiator broke so i replaced that, my entire exhaust including the cat fell off on the highway so i got a brand new exhaust, and my right front U(?) joint is about to break so i have to fix that next. all in all i had the car for a month and i have spent 800 bucks repairing it and for some reason not known to me I LOVE MY JEEP!!!! My next car is going to be a wrangler for sure!! And Im only 21 just moved to MI to live on my own and im working like 3 jobs so yeah i understand how its not easy and can be frustrating to keep spending money on the car.

oh and my oil leak problem hasnt been fixed it!! lol

 

hahah yup!!! new plugs, wires, distrubitor, distributor cap, button, computer, both O2 sensors, cat, muffler, CPS, coil, battery, STARTER,. thats parts replaced since last november haha then tack on the 4.5" lift, rims, tires, and SYE. urghh thats like a $5000 jeep. i could have had a half decent truck for that much!!! owell. hahah i tried selling it a week ago and a lady screamed (I MEAN ACTUALLY YELLED)at me cause i was asking $3500 and it only booked for $2000. Gotta love Maine!! haha

 

lol damn tough crowd huh. well right now im trying to work like 60 hrs a week so i can save and in a few months i can get a nice wrangler. my friend owns a dealership so he will sell me the car at the price he pays for them cant wait.
