My 89 does the same thing im am thinking its the flexplate out of ballanced. I will let you know when I fix it this weekend

I hope I don't need bearings cause if I do I'm just gonna sell it to the salvage and get another Cherokee my friend wants to sell his I might go after his.

Flex this just let me know how everything goes

I know my friend was telling they weren't expensive but time consuming . I do want a newer year a 91 is what he's selling. Mine has tons of problems, more miles, a bit of rust in the floor pans, but in the time being I will keep working on it til I decide whether or not to buy the other one

If you do bearings you just have to be careful and precise. You need to measure the tolerances. It's good to know a little about measuring in thousandths.

Thanks for the help guys. I changed out my CPS which was a pain to get to, it starts first time I crank it over
