Starting issue
What the heck!I stopped at the gas station after work, ran inside and came back and it would not start. When I say would start I mean no crank no nothing. So I check the batt cables snug some stuff up...still no start, checked all of the major ground locattions still nothing then I notice i have no lights at all not even a glimmer no fogs no radio. everthing electrical was not working not even a little,So I disconnect the batt cables for about 5 min in hopes of resetting something, hook em back up and starts like nothing was ever wrong,WTF!Any one ever have this problem? Is it a sign of impending doom for my cpu or something? Thanks in advance

No I did all that, tightened everything and checked the major grounds to the chassis too,Terminals were tight battery is good,Its was like a circuit breaker in a house tripping, nothing electrical worked at all, no clicking starter no dome lights..... removed the battery terminals for 5 minutes put them back on and then it started. I recently replaced my terminals too so their solid no corrosion at all and tight but i tightend them up anyway. It seems fine now just kinda concerned why it did it in the first place

My battery connectors were shot. They had some crud on them too. The main thing I noticed was I had those pointed red and black ones. The paint was melting and running down the inside of the terminal causing a bad connection. If you have the painted ones check that first. I just replaced mine and have not had an issue since. BTW mine were snug as hell but the connection was still bad.

Once again
OK it happened again,it would start after shutting it off,I disconnected the battery(both pos and neg)and it started. And yes the terminals were clean today just like yesterday, the connection at the fuse block is good no corrosion and tight and the wire to the starter is solid and tight too!!SO WHY DOES REMOVING AND REPLACING THE CABLES MAKE IT START!!!!!!!!!!Not a NSS problem either I checked that too

don't think it is the c.p.u.
The lights should not be affected by the c.p.u. . The lights ,horn and taillights are what are called always on circuits. Could you have internal corrosion in one of your battery cables? That could explain why disconnecting them and reconnecting them starts the engine, because you have to manipulate the wires closest to the battery. Thats the only thing that occurs to me. Good luck
