I have a 99' and this just started happening I looked around try an find my specific problem but I didn't have luck, so to the problem I can start the jeep first try but it takes about 7 seconds this is what happens it's cranks then it sounds like it drops then starts up all in 1 key turn! What could this be? I read around and maybe it's the Fuel Pump Check Valve?

How do I know when the fuel pump shuts off is it a certain noise? I've never done this before, thanks for the response though appreciate it!
Or just turn the key on, count to 10, turn it back off and repeat.

Say if I do that and it starts right up or the opposite happens and it still has a hard time starting should I be concerned at that point?
If that fixes the problem, either the check valve in the fuel pump assembly is leaking, or you have an injector leaking down. The check valve is just an annoyance, you can fix it or leave it.
Check the injectors by pulling the fuel rail with injectors attached and setting the whole assembly on paper towel or newspaper, looking for one that leaks.
If that doesn't fix the problem, I'd check for stored codes, evaluate the condition of regular tune-up items (spark plugs, fuel filter, etc) and check the fuel pressure at startup.
