First, I will be inflating the tires all to the right PSI.

I will move the new rear tires to the front.
That will be a free way to rule out the front tire balance.
But, this will require the XJ to be lifted off all 4 wheels.
That means buying 2 more jackstands for another $100 that I may never use again.
It might be easier to just have a shop swap the wheels.
Just do one side using a jack and two stands, then do other side.

Same old Bimmer. You never disappoint.

You should be running proper PSI in your tires anyways, LMAO
A front tire balance is the least of your worries. Balancing is also inexpensive.

Your front end is ****. A balance won't make this go away. Replace worn components. Balance your tires. Get an alignment. All at a shop.

Problem solved.

Another culprit may be if you've been parking on asphalt it could just have a flat spot. Depending on how far you drive it it should work it's way out.

Just keeping it real here...attached is a photo of a modern radial tire, no tubes involved. Parking on asphalt is very unlikely to cause flat spotting, it's one of the most common road and parking lot surfaces in the world. Flat spotting takes years of sitting or some really soft tires on a really heavy car. I used to have a big bmw and made the mistake of picking a tire that was really soft(conti pro contact dws), great on smaller cars but my Beemer would always thump for a couple of miles in the winter till they rolled out. Switched to pilot radials and the issue disappeared. Ok I have now given a serious response to a non serious suggestion, I think.
