hey guys my 94 is i guess a hard starter. i know u shouldnt have to pump the gas to get a fuel injection vehicle to start but i have to any suggestions

do you think the tps is bad or can they be adjusted ive looked at it but havent paid it any attention

 

1994 cant be adjusted.

I say the TPS because pumping the gas wouldnt shoot more fuel in, when you pump the gas your opening the butterfly valve on the throttle body more and the TPS than adjusts to those movements and increases fuel/air in conjunction with other parts.

 

ok thanks for the input i bought one today but my shop is tied up so im having to work outside installing tommorro ill repost the results

iac enlightin me not sure ive heard of it my problem is fixed but id still like to know what a iac is but any way i dont know if it fixed my problem but i put a tps on today and i dont have to pump the gas pedal to start anymore

 

That wouldnt cause a fuel delivery problem at startup.


IAC stands for Idle Air Controller, it does exactly what its called, controls the amount of air needed at idle.
