Default Stalling

So I bought my 99 xj about a month ago. Drove fine for the first week then went on a vacation out of state, came back and now when I start it I have to idle it at 1500 plus Rpms for approximately 5 mins. Otherwise it dies, only things I've done to it so far are 1) change oil pressure sensor 2) change the O2 sensors. Any ideas would greatly be appreciated.

check for vacuum leak. clean the IAC, tune up, fuel rail pressure. and the one time I had that problem it turned out to be bad fuel.

One of the most common causes of stalling is a marginal battery. The engine management system hates it when available battery voltage is low. And yes, you CAN have a battery that is strong enough to start the engine, but marginal enough to give the engine management system fits.

Consider this scenario. Battery is marginal. You start the XJ. It take about 5 minutes for your alternator to charge the battery enough so that it satisfies the engine management system and the stalling stops. This could be exactly what is going on with yours.

Have your battery LOAD TESTED. Any parts store will do this for you for free. Load testing is the only conclusive way of determining battery condition.
