Alright so I picked up a 98 XJ with 175k and some change. Runs like a champ but something started squeaking on it. Opened up the hood and it is definitely not any of the pulley's form the accessories run by the serpentine belt or the belt itself. Sometimes it squeaks, sometimes it doesn't. Sounds to me like it's coming from right under the valve cover, or possibly down by the distributor, it's a little hard to tell. I'm figuring it's either a rocker or the distributor. If it's a rocker is there an easy way to tell if it is? Is there any easy fix for those that doesn't involve me pulling the head and spending the $$$$$$ on new rockers etc. Or if it's the distributor is there a fix for that other than buying a new one.
Thanks guys
