Sputtering in gear Help.

Sputtering in gear Help.
Got a 1990 cherokee 4.0 5 speed.
Noticed it sputtering in gear in 3rd gear and up it shakes terribly. it is a little rough on idle But Perfect in downshifting
New spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, Before i changed the wires and all i would pop off the one to ignition coil and it would even out sporadically. i ruled that out initially because it will start fine at any temp. (from what i know if the coil is going out once its hot it wont start.)
I did have this problem about a year ago and all i did to fix it was take out a spark plug and put it back in
Could it possibly be the fact i got gas from a different gas station than usual?
