Default Split second cut out at full throttle

Yes I looked. No I couldn't find anything. Alright, so when I floor it, there is a split second cut out. It stops, but then picks right back up. I just noticed it recently. Full tune-up just a few months ago including O2s. Full throttle is the only time I really notice any thing abnormal. Any thoughts???

Does anything electrical cut out, like the radio?

TPS. Once the MAP sensor detects the pressure change in the intake, the ECU can adjust the A/F mixture.

Maybe it's a sign saying "im a jeep not a civic." If you are doing this while driving it is probably shifting. If you are in neutral and it happens it's electrical. Give more specifics. Does it litterally cut out or does it "hesitate"? Or does it bog down?

It's a 5 speed so I dont think it is a shifting issue. Say I am turning on to a street in 2nd gear and floor it, it feels like it is cutting out to me. The RPMs drop and then suddenly it is like it never happened.

I'm not sure what would cause this lag. It is definatly electrical though. Try running some seafoam. And check throttle body sensers.

I agree that a throttle position sensor is in play here. Especially for specific throttle positions. They can develop a "bad spot".

TEST your throttle position sensor. You will need a manual and a meter (analog best here).

Will do as soon as I can. I guess I will start with the seafoam and see how it goes from there.

I think it drops to 0 or at least near it. It happens so quick it is hard to really see it. Guess I need to go to an open parking lot some where and play around....
