I have a question. I am primarily a Stryker mechanic and most of my knowledge comes from military vehicles. Well upon finishing up an inspection on my brakes this past weekend I was putting the wheels pack on and as I was putting the lugs on Naturally the wheel starting turning to indicating that they are tight and I need to lower the vehicle to torque.
Well I noticed the wheel on the other side was spinning the opposite direction. I thought is was odd but figured there was some other term for it. Well I want a lil more education of this now. My Strykers don't do that the wheels will spin in the same direction. Why would this one spin opposite with no load.
Jeep drives fine if this is not the way it is supposed to work lol.

Good description of the difference in what to look for when deciding if you have a LSD vs open diff.
