i put some new speakers in my jeep today, and i was wondering in the lower part of my dash 1992 cherokee it is grilled out for speakers or tweeters or something anyone else have this, or know what goes in there?

 

there are speakers there but since my still work never replaced them, I also have a 1992.

 

A tweeter is in there or is suppose to go there. Mine was tweeters there.

 

well mine has nothing there and i was wondering what the deal is.

 

You didn't have the top of the line sound system package that came with them then...

 

so is it a tweeter or a 3.25" speaker that goes in there.

 

which ever one you want will fit, no problem.

 

I just recently was handed a '92 Laredo, and I love it! But I have a pair of 6X8 Xplods that I would like to put in the rear, however I've never taken the door panels off of a Jeep. I've read threads that said to cut into it and place the speakers there, so would I just cut the inside panel in the right shape and place them there...if so, Where are the rear speaker wires? And how do I remove the panel to get at them? Didn't see any screws, but it was fairly dark. I assume the wires are in the panel? Any information would be great information. Thank yous guys.
