Hey guys, I just put a 3in Rustys lift on my 2000. I love it but it needs new wheels now. I have spent the last hour looking for an answer but can't find a definite answer.
I want to go to a 16in wheel (up from my 15's)
There is a guy here selling some cragar 16x7 soft 8's.
I don't know about all the back spacing stuff. I really want 16x7's with 31x10.5 tires. Is this do-able? Any issues or things I need to address?
Thanks!!

soft 8 i have no clue what that mains but i know you can a 31x10.5 on a stock rim.
pinding on what your doing as in off roading why. i would said look in to the mt baja claws.
if you dont plan to go back words all the time then they should do what you need them do. and they had wheel and tire packages and the rims look nice to.

i work at a tire shop and all i can tell you is just get 16in tires and find 16in rims (with the right lug pattern) and its a done deal and you can go 4 inches wider on the tire than the rim so a 10.5 in tire will fit on a 7 in wide rim safely and for backspacing that is if you want your tires to stick out of the fenders a little bit

okay with 31 inch tires you are most likely gonna rub your control arms if you run stock back spacing, if you dont wanna rub get wheels that have a back spacing of 3.75 thats the most common around here for our xj's and thats what im running too with no rubbing at full turn. thats what you should do or atleast thats what i would do, also would suggest folding over the pinch seam thats inside the wheel well too and trimming your fenders and making sure you have enough bumpstop length too, if you got any more questions shoot me a pm and ill do what i can to help
