Default Spark plugs, distributor set help!?!?

Hello I’m new here I’m new to owning a Jeep I have a 97 Cherokee sport I6, 206k I’ve replaced cooling system, rear main seal, alternator, but now I want to do the full tune up so I was wondering what spark plugs and distributor do you guys recommend and what else do you recommend to include with full tune-up?

This is the GRAND Cherokee section. You'd get better answers from the Cherokee (XJ) section.

I recommend NGK plugs.

NGKs or Champion Copper Cores Any of the big box parts stores should have decent enough wires, cap and rotor for the job.

I used platinum plugs on mine along with duralast wires and bwd cap and rotor. I regret getting platinum plugs because the car does have a slight shake at idle but the bwd cap and rotor have a lifetime warranty and they use brass contacts. I'll be putting in copper plugs next time.

NGK ZFR5N plugs, cap and rotor with brass terminals, quality wireset. Clean your throttle body and make sure your intake manifold fasteners are snug.

I got the Mopar tune-up kit on Amazon for a good price and a set of Champion copper plugs and it's run very nicely for me.

Psy, you've got 2 juggernauts of this site (Cruiser and Duma) advising you, so you are in excellent hands.
