see now were getting somewhere. a clunk and a rattle are two different things. are you sure its not just your muffler hitting the bell housing?

I will go under with a small rubber malot this time and bang around and see what i come up with.. Im new to jeeps and i am perplexed. its a whole differnt monster compaired to a ford ranger.lol... and i was not the one that put the lift in so i have to studdy for a bit.. what do you think about the torshen bars? i did see a set of adjustable ones on creags and thaught that could be part of the prob but i did try to wiggle those as well and they seem solid. i wish i was the one to put the lift in case i would be more knowlegable about these matters at hand...and thanks for the help dude ....=)

Check you trac bar mount at the frame end,the bolts strech a little and loosen up so the mount moves around when you steer left or right. If its that you will need to replace the bolts.

A torsion bar takes the place of a coil spring, you will not find torsion bars on a vehicle with solid axles. The anti-sway bar is kind of like a torsion bar, but it does not support any weight, it just helps the vehicle from leaning while corning.

Hey guys, got a 92 XJ Sport with the same problem a month ago. It was my lower control arm. I ended up pulling the driver side lower arm and found the rear bushing under the driver seat all mushy from oil and age. I replaced the bushings front and rear and it solved MY issue. This might be the same as your issue, considering the year and when the lift was done if a new arm wasn't used. Ended up replacing the bushings on the passenger side as well. Hope this helps....

Okay.. If the clunk is right underneith your feet and it does so when you go over bumps then I will bet that its your double caradon joint at the t-case end of your front driveshaft. The joint itself is like a ball and socket if you will and from the factory, these joints are not greaseable. Go ahead and go have a new front driveshaft made. I had one made for my Jeep and it cost me 170 bucks u-joint to u-joint ready to bolt in. And also, that ball and socket joint mentioned earlier, should have a grease fitting on it. Problem solved and upgraded! Obviously this is my expirence and it for sure might not be the thing wrong with your Jeep but its something to look into.
