thanks and yeah i could still do a cover with some storage but i use the ashtray for my change and to hold my phone. i could get a inner section and just cut out the cb hole and have half the space still left and yeah i was thinking cardboard to for the mount idea. what thickness of metel did you use to cut it out from 1/8 or more or less
