Have them in a heavy rain yet? Or do they have their own way to drain? Or does it not really matter because i think im thinking about my car and ram air and rain?

i live in the driest place on earth i don't think it will be an issue but trekker and others have taken them out in the rain and had no issues what so ever. water gets in no matter what so i don't think this will do any harm. but we will see

Default A couple links for you

Here's a couple links you may want to read before you hack away at your hood. OOPS! pictures just loaded I see you already did it! Never mind!

A1racer...

I assume you are going to run an external speaker for the CB.. Where are you going to mount it? I have my CB mounted to the side of my "console" and the speaker fires right into my hip. I can hear it but would like something a bit better. I have contemplated mounting a small speaker to the trim right above the drivers door. More at ear level..

Oh... that explains the burn marks... I was thinking a jig saw with tape on the bottom or tape on the hood to protect it from scratches might be a good way to do mine. Do you think that paint will peel since it is compromised now?

may be down the road but if it happens i will deal with it. and i think the best tool for this job is an air saw this is the one i use for body mods but i could not get the tank out that day i did the vents click
