Default Soldering on new CTS pigtail

I believe I need a new CTS connector pigtail because when I back-probed the connector to read the ohms when I was testing the sensor, I did not get a reading, I got 0 ohms. However, when I unplugged the connector and tested it directly, I got the proper reading. I then proceeded to test for continuity from the connector back to the ECU and that was perfect, so I am guessing I need a new pigtail? Is it okay to cut the wire and solder in a new connector I buy at the parts store?

Okay, because I thought some sensors like the o2 sensor you can't solder, is that true?

Yeah. That's the only one that has a shielded wire in it.

So what do you do in that situation with the o2 if you need a new connector?

How about the knock sensor? I see it has a shielded wire or something, how do I go about soldering on a new connector there?

The O2 sensor has the shielded wire doesn't it?

Knock sensor has a connector like a fuel injector.
