Default so there's this fuse...

I have a 94 sport. My number 15 fuse that controlls the dash lights and running lights keeps blowing thought I seen a thread on this but I can't find it. Any ideas?

I had the same issue. Kinda te tail lamp fuse was blowing and causing no power to the dash light fuse. Check your plate lamp connections on the hatch mine had a tire carrier at a point ad some one connected and extra power and ground set and caused a short. I te wired the entire harness for running lamps front an rear. Changed splices and all tore the dash apart. Found it in the hatch check the thread https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/new...oblems-159817/

Did you by chance have your hatch trim off and found something unplugged and then plugged it back up? I ask because if you did plug up the mystery plug you created a ground fault and that's what blew your fuses.
It goes to the license plate light for your factory tire carrier BTW. Perhaps that's one of the threads you were referring to.....

Check your wiring! Just because you haven't done anything dosent mean time and the elements haven't caused an issue

Check for wires shorting together. Loom at the like I put in it will show you what my issue was. After I resolved that issue my running lamps worked and I ha power at the fuse location for my dash lamps. If you have no shorts start checking the harness behind the dash. I could be te switch the cluster any of the dash mounted switches or lighters. Or there attached harnesses. It's very easy to over look something. I am a tech for a living and missed a blatant short after being so overwhelmed with my issue I just had to step back and look at t agian in the moringo

It's easy to replace. I took off my lower dash panel. The one tht runs across the entire bottom of the dash from driver to passenger side. If you have the knee blocker that would have to e removed. Disconnect the battery and then pull out the **** an on the underside there's a button press it and continue to pull the **** all the way out of the switch. Then undo the nut holding the switch in and reach up behind and disconnect the connector and install in the reverse order
