so I've looked everywhere...

And i cant seem to find a larger filter compatible with the renix engine... does anyone have any for sure numbers that are compatible with the renix engine?

Pretty much aren't any. Swap to the HO oil filter nipple with a 3/4-16" thread. Part number 53007563AB, it's very cheap. If you think a junkyard is somehow cheaper than $5 you can find one on any 4.0L made after 1990.

Ew. That's over double the bypass pressure relief for the 4.0L, putting additional wear on the XJ's oil pump and playing havoc with pressure. I would say that is NOT clever especially now that we are in winter. Just because it fits doesn't mean it's a good idea. I would not recommend that for installation on any Jeep.
