Default So Im replacing my fuel filter

Is there ANYTHING I need to know and do to prep or is it as easy as it looks? Just pull off the tubes on each end and put the new filter on?

Its really easy. Is it held on by clamps or pressure fitting? The later can be a pain sometimes .

That's it a quick 5 min change... make sure to put the new one on facing the right way and your good to go. Make sure to release the pressure on the fuel rail cause their will be air bubbles after you install the new filter

It will be on the fuel rail, a black cap. Behind it youll see a tire valve type button. Just push it with a pen or something . Stay off to the sid or youll get sprayed with fuel.

Yes , you might have to push it a couple of times to get the air out.

YOU NEED TO relieve the pressure from the system or you will get sprayed with fuel. To do this get under the xj, unplug the fuel pump, then go start the thing up and let it run till it dies.

After the change, you can prime the line by turning the key to ACC a few times.
