Default So I was at the JY today...

I was out looking for a rear washer pump and/or a few other things but most of the XJ's have been cleaned out...boo...

I did run across a couple D44 axles and a 97? MJ, I think that has the 8.25??

Anyhow, if I wanted to rescue an 8.25, 29 spline or a D44, what other mods would I have to do to get it to bolt on, or is it as simple as new U bolts and a few other minor things, i.e. brake lines, brakes, etc.??

Right now I have an '01 XJ

as long as you pull it from an XJ, youll be fine. MJs are spring under and will require some fab to get it under your jeep. all you need is the axle and driveshaft from the junkyard, and a new set of ubolts from a parts store.

You really found ALOT of D44's were they for XJ's cause they are rare on XJ's. I would buy as many as you can afford clean them up and put them on NAXJA lol. People are always looking for them over there. D44 is better than 8.25

There was an 87 there, those are known to have the D44, as well as a couple 89's that have a D44 if there is a tow package...

Ill go back Monday and to another one then as well to maybe get a few...a little de-griming and a nice thick coat of rustoleum and BLAM!! $$$$

The thing is I dont know how to tell if its a D44???
