Default Snorkel ond Daily Driver

Hi, I'm thinking about getting a snorkel on my cherokee (which is my daily driver) and was wondering if I would run into any problems.

I live in washington, so there is alot of rain, and worry about siezing the engine.

Can I safley run a snorkel on my dd?

I don't think there would be a problem. I'm interested in this as well.

I dont think it would be a problem. I have been researching snorkels myself and both the Safari and Airflow snorkels have a seperator in the head to run the rain water out of the airstream. On the Airflow web page it claims you can drive through the most torrential tropical rain storms with no problems.

There is a decent write up on Marcus Ohms' Go Jeep page about an Airflow Snorkel install http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoSnorkelInstall1.htm

Ran one on my DD for years. Have a ton of friends with a variety of vehicles from XJ's to YJ's to Toyotas, no problems.

My main concern is snow clogging the intake

Gotcha. We really don't get that down here, but we do get hurricanes every Tuesday & Thursday, and the snorkels work fine through that.

I think they all use the stock air filter box.

You would have to put the factory air intake back on. Jy would have one for cheap if you dont have the original.
