I just fixed my broken breather tube on my rear axle. I've got a good feeling I'm going to need to change the fluid. What fluid should I use? I don't go wheeling, it's just a daily driver because its a 4 cylinder 2wd POS lol

70w-90 is what the book says. You don't push it at all so that's what I would go with.

I was talking more like what brand y'all prefer. I have a Haynes manual so I know what kind I need. Just wanted to see what brand would be good to go with

i change mine quite often, sometimes twice a year, so i just get anything that's on sale, anything 70w90 to 80w90.
for my tj with limited slip, i use the additive.

this is much cheaper than synthetic and as a wheeler that sees deep muddy water at times, it's more cost effective.

i buy motomaster in the big 5 gallon pails because it's cheap and available at all canadian tire stores.

but if yours is just a street queen, or only sees dry conditions like moab, then sure, use synthetic.

just my opinion.

Same here I buy what is on sale in 5 gal. buckets non-synthetic as I change mine often. I go through a lot of creeks and mud in the summer months and snow/ice in the winter, some always gets into the seals it seems.

The last time I bought was at Sam's Club and picked up 10 gal of there brand I think. In my WJ mostly a DD all it gets is a full synthetic with the additive for both the D30/D44 sure locks its a DD mostly.
