Default Sneaky water on the floor.

I'm getting water in my 99 Cherokee on the passenger side floor. Seems back toward the seat towards the right side. I put powder down and I don't see any water coming in from the door and the a\c doesn't seem to be leaking from the coil. The drain hose is free and clear. It just fricking appears. Any thoughts or ides?

My 96 liked to leak from the windshield seal, I had a gap right above the glove box, would leak into the box then find its way to the floor

Does it smell sweet like antifreeze or is it clear? If it smells like antifreeze it's your heater core. I did have the same problem. It was coming from the ac drain. It wasn't plugged either. But it was running back to the fire wall and seeping in. I added a piece of curved hose angled down and put a little silicone so it wont run back again. I haven't had it wetting my carpet ever since.

I just replaced my evap box due to a broken drain. I'd check for cracks on the case at least.

Windshield seal would be my second guess. And the drainage inside the cowl cover would be my third.

Mine leaked at the antennae inlet. Theres a rubber grommet that's bad about going bad that goes on the antennae wire and seals to the hole it runs through out of the body. Also the top of the door seal is bad about leaking where the seal mounts to the body. A little silicone and mine was fixed

The antennae outlet is above the kick panel on the right side, the water flowed under the kick panel and made it like impossible to tell where it was coming from. Best bet is to lay a water hose on your roof and sit inside and wait to see where it drips.

Its water not antifreeze. I don't see any water under the dash anywhere. Dry as a popcorn fart. Dry all along the inside of the rocker panel as well. It's only wet right in front of the hump the seat bolts too right in front of the seat bolt as a matter of fact. If water ran uphill I would think it was climbing the seat bolt.

You also have to remember theres like 1/2" inch of insulating filler on the under side of the carpet that loves absorbing water.

And then corrode your floor pans to oblivion.

I got the carpet pulled up......as best I can without pulling the seat. Is it possible for water to come in under the "tubing" that the seat sits on from the rocker panel? How could it be getting into the rocker. This thing has under 50K on it and its from FL so there is no rust anywhere. Also whats to stop water from getting under the panel behind the hood and leaking down into the hole for the windshield washer hose? There was a puddle under there right next to the hole. If water runs in there anyone know where it would go? Rocker? The water doesn't seem to be coming in the firewall at all. It's dry there and dry under the dash as far as I can tell.

I'm suffering from a similar situation, though i haven't investigated at all...I think it's happened maybe a handful of times over the past year or so. Initially I was thinking it was the window/seal (have had a broken regulator for a while, which i fixed to only have it break again after reinstall...been meaning to buy a new one but it has been a low priority since i never use it and it has been cold out) but it is always dry on the door and else where, again only seems to be wet on the floor. Will have to check into these spots when it gets a little warmer or I can find a garage to work in. Good luck and please keep us posted as to what you find the cause to be!

I've used a .22 to make drain holes.

I don't know if Jeeps have drain holes in the bottom of the doors(new to them) but if they do see if they are clogged. the water will build up and drip in from the plastic panel, just a suggestion..water ingress is a *****. also my friends leak came from a couple roof rack screws that he took out siliconed and put back in.

Where I park the front is higher. A leak here was running back through the upper "rail", to the back, down the rear corner post, and getting the carpet wet in the corner inside the hatch. Took me a while to find it. Go figure! I wonder if something kin to that could be happening there via the "divider" post. I suppose it could and should just run out, but because of the angle I park, it was finding a way in. (it now has drain holes)
(I also pulled my headliner to find a row of nail holes in the roof from lumber)(was thinking it might be the rack)
