SNAP ON MT2500
Got a chance to get a Snap ON MT2500 scanner for $300. It has the Jeep adaptor and a Domestic GM-Ford-Chrysler cartridge. Do you think that's a good deal? I hear they can only be used up to 2001 but with most of my vehicles that's not a problem LOL.

I purchased one on ebay with no cartridges for $129, currently in the deal about $200 with not even half of the accessories. The last update was for 2007s I believe. Overall, it is an awesome deal as it was THE scan tool of the 90s

Got if for $250 and it's working great.
I think it's saved me from buying an O2 sensor. I can see the voltage changing on it with the scanner so it looks like it should be ok.

I'll have to read up on that part. I've just see RICH/LEAN on the display so far and the pulse width for the injectors.

Used it twice today!
Cruizer-If you see this (I'm too lazy to to start a new thread), do you recommend doing the CPS "Update" where you drill a hole through the firewall and attach the CPS directly to the ECU instead of through the C101 connector? I just replaced the CPS on my '87 but called it quits for the night. I was wondering if it's worth doing or shoudl I just run it back up to where it was connected. I melted the wire on my old CPS (too close to the exhaust) but it wasn't really tied down very well. Any advice appreciated.
Thanks!

Thanks-I've got the service bulletin but I haven't read anyone else doing it on here.
The other way, snaking it back to the C101; I'm just not sure if I can get my hands into all those spots to run the wire where it's supposed to go. I don't have any clips that I can see on the back of the engine. If they have to be put on, that's a nightmare.

Thanks for the replies. I got the CPS on. What a bear - luckily I've got lots of extensions but really-why didn't they move it down on the housing 4 or 5 inches! Do you get a Cherokee Forum merit badge when you do a CPS install? (LOL).
I put a wire loom over the wire, zip-tied to the trans dipstick and ran it up and over to the cruise control servo then above the MAP sensor. I'm hoping it stays put. It's an AIRTEX CPS that I had bought before I got to this forum so if it lasts and doesn't melt down, it'll stay until I get a Jeep brand. Seems to be working ok and I can back up without the Jeep stalling.
Now, I still have those leaking injectors to deal with and the cruise control and the inverted rear springs, door handles, blower motor, front shocks, etc, tec. No end in sight.
I hi-jacked my own thread so sorry for that.
