Default small leak in gas tank

last night i went out and saw a small puddle on the driveway and found out it was gas. so today i pulled the retaining straps and found out its a hole so small u realy cant see it. its dripping pretty slow .i looked theres no sign of rust near the hole . my question is there any quick fixes i can use till i can replace the tank witch will be at least next weekend at the earliest.

yes plug the hole with a sealer on some sort... something that gas will not eat away at... my one friend welded his gas tank after it aired out for a few days....just put a weld beed... if you can reach in there a small nut and bolt? with sealer..

If it's truly that small, a little smear of chemical resistant epoxy should provide a permanent-ish fix. The bigger question would be why is your tank springing pin-hole leaks?

"my one friend welded his gas tank after it aired out for a few days."

This guy didn't even "air it out", don't try this at home kids. Notice the proper use of jack stands to safely support the vehicle as well.

When I was in high school (40 years ago), I pocked a small hole in my gas tank while rabbit hunting at night. My dad told me to use bar soap on it until I could get another tank. It works slick! Just use a bar of dial soap. It would last a week before it would start leaking. (I never did replace the tank).
