I'd see what scraping them with a chisel or flathead does. Maybe see what a heat gun does to them.
i scraped a little bit off before it got dark and it's regular metal. The water doesn't seem to be doing any harm to it. Ill hit it with a heat gun tomorrow and see what happens

Well unfortunately you're gonna have to remove it all and paint it before it does rust. And obviously figure out where the water is getting in.
i haven't gotten around to painting the main floor yet so i might as well do it all in one go now lol
I just did mine with chassis saver not too long ago and I'm about to do a topcoat with Rustoleum soon. Sanding and cleaning sucks but it's nice knowing it's all taken care of.
Figured why use a heat gun when Texas is practically a huge crock pot? Got out here just a few minutes ago around 11am and the bubbles and water inside have dried up
