slow wipers
Hello, my delay wipers work fine, but the regular and high speed are very slow. It seems there's not enough power. Could this be the motor itself or is there a relay for this?
Thanks, Mike

Sorry folks it is a remix, 1987 Wagoner limited. I am just getting into this thing by fixing the obvious first. I did the Greg Smith lock fix (works great) ,and replaced a power window regulator (so far so good). I plan on starting Cruiser 54's remix tips later this week. I didn't know the wipers may be tied into one of the tips. I,ll see if I can trace the wire to a ground.
Thanks , Mike

I lived with slow wipers for quite while. A swipe on dry windshield would only complete 3/4 of the swipe, would not come down to the park position unless windshield was wet/raining. Snow build up, would barely push snow off. Mine also had a bit of run off at top of stroke, went off windshield about an 1". I bit the bullet for a reman, new one will push snow off or run dry without hesitation. So, yes its possible to have just a plain worn out motor.
While you have it off, change the bushings too. I have changed mine 2x"s in 12 years, sloppy both times although second time not as bad but I had the motor out already.
