Default Slow Leak Thermostat to Heater Core Inlet Hose when car is off

Hi Cherokee lovers.
This is my first post so go easy on me.
First time cherokee owner. Mine is a Cherokee XJ 1996 sport with 187,000kms on the clock (Approx 116,000miles)
Minor gasket leak issues nothing serious so far.
Noticed a coolant leak on the thermostat end from the inlet hose going to the heater core from both inlet and outlet hoses. I tightened the outlet as its a normal hose clamp. Made sure the constant pressure clamp was adjusted well in the groves. The outlet hose stopped leaking but inlet hose still leaks a little bit when the car is mid temp (210) and stops after heat drops. Must include that i have purchased a new thermostat and gasket my thermostat seems to be sticking open as temp wont go to midd way until i drive at constant speed then it shoots up to 210 or a little higher (never in red ) until aux fan turns on and keeps it at midd way. Have also checked the hoses to see if its stuck open seems to have all the symptoms of a stuck open thermostat only that after a while it must unstick? is this possible? Anyway ill be changing that soon.
MY MAIN QUESTION IS
Why does that hose only spit a bit of coolant when the car turns off after a 40 min drive? Temp gauge isnt showing over heating. Happens at normal temp.
Any ideas? Checked for head gasket crack symptoms everything there seems in check.

because heat and pressure build up at that time.

Thermostats can be checked in a pot of water on stove top using a thermometer. thermostat should fully open at rated temperature. you can watch it open in that pot of water. if it dont open, get a new one. be sure to get the correct temperature range thermostat for the jeep. they make them at different temperature set points, 180, 185, 190, 195 etc....

Ready to do the job next week including coolant flush. I got the recommended Thermostat 90 Degrees celcius (Im from AUS i think that is 190 F)
I Think my clamp was not on properly. its still slowly leaking not as bad im assuming its just a old pressure clamp. Im upgrading to a newer hose clamp.
Hoping thats all it is
