Default Which is Core inlet?

I have a 2001 grand Cherokee larado 6 cylinder, I replaced the heater core but am wondering if I have connected the coolant lines correctly. I am not sure if the top heater core line coming out of the firewall is the inlet or if the bottom is. Silly question but it is keeping me up at night

I don't know off the top of my head but it doesn't matter. The coolant just goes in and out.

Connect the hot water from the thermostat housing to the bottom of the core. This will allow air to exit the core and go to the water pump.
