Default Slight miss from 88 remix 4.0

Alrighty y'all, been slowly getting this thing running better and better until this past week. After hours of searching and testing here's the problem and here's what's been done already and/or checked.

After doing cruisers CCV fix by trimming and drilling the tubes located inside the valve cover, my problem started. It starts and idles at 700 rpms give or take but it's got a slight miss. It's almost making a "putt putt" noise from the exhaust at idle or all the way down the the floor in neutral and when driving. I have a large power loss and it feels like a misfire to me but I can't figure it out

Here's what's been done:
Replaced cps
Replaced and adjusted tps
Replaced map
Replace fuel pump
Replaced fuel filter
Replaced spark plugs
Replaced cap and rotor
Replaced egr
Replaced alternator
Replaced battery
Replaced iac
Replaced air filter
Replaced o2 sensor
Knock sensor is broken but that shouldn't be giving me these issues

Things I've checked
CAT not plugged (disconnected it and still problem persisted)
Readjusted tps
Cleaned throttle body
Tested for vac leaks from MAP to TB
Disconnected O2 to see if there was a changed, non from what I could tell
Checked spark plug wires
Installed new plugs again (last ones I replaced a year ago and they looked due)
Checked fuel regulator vac connector, dry and now gas in it
None of the injectors seem to be leaking gas after inspection

Things I've noticed
Exhaust smells a little rich
Low idle when first start, after a quick rev or two it happily stays at 700rpms, and returns to 700 does not stay high or drop

What hasn't been done
Checked injectors for vac leak
Haven't pulled valve cover back off since the mod, possible pinched/bad valve cover gasket leaking giving me an issue?
Haven't performed a compression test, but didn't feel it was needed due to it making a 15 min drive to my buddies shop down the highway and running like it has been the past 9 months
Haven't hooked a multi up to any sensor other than tps for adjustment check

I apologize for the long post, but the more information I can give y'all the easier it is for an answer to be found!

Thanks in advance!

Riley

No need to reply! I'm the one to blame on this one. The second I posted, walked out to the jeep and sure enough very back injector connector was loose. Pushed on it, turned the jeep on and now running as it did before! Now hoping it was my CCV putting oil on the filter and not blow by...

Haha!! You beat me to it.

I was gonna suggest unplugging the injectors one by one to see if one was dead.
