Default Skid Plates

Anyone running any of rusty's skid plates? If so how do you like them??? I'm thinking about picking up the front angled skid and the oilpan/tranny skid within the next few weeks and wanted to hear what people had to say about them... Also, will the front skid interfere with an aftermarket bumper?

If anyone has any suggestions to better skid companies I'm open to that as well..

good thing I posted this...they almost had me sold haha...are there any companies with reasonable oilpan/transmission skids? I feel like the 3 main areas I'd like to protect are the oil pan/trans, the t-case, and the gas tank.. All the companies say that their products are the best though...makes it kinda tough

The OEM front skid works pretty well if you can find one

This is what I've been searching for for the past hour or so... Where do we get these OEM skids?? I've looked at numerous jeep body part online stores but can't find a darn thing!

No problem...Now just a few more questions!

How does this factory front skid compare to the rusty's?? I mean I'd save at least 50 bucks by going with this one and even more than that if I can muster one up at a junk yard... But the first mud puddle I go into will it get trashed?? I'm mainly concerned about my engine bay taking a mud bath every time I go wheeling.. It's mostly water and mud around here... not many dry trails.. unless you like sand

If you're just concerned about water and mud, the stock should work just fine. Armor purchased from wheeling companies is generally a little more resilient than the stock one, i.e. thicker steel. A good number of them are also powder coated...meaning $$$

Am I missing something?!?! is this the same skid plate as the last one but for under $10?? This HAS to be a rubber/plastic version or something..

Did the factory skid plates also come not in a steel form??

I'm tempted to call this company right now..

I would call them to find out what the deal is. I recommend you get a metal skid plate.
