My wifes City Jeep has a neat sirius radio in it and I wounder if I could install one in my XJ. Has anyone done this?

 

I have XM installed in my XJ. I am spoiled by it and cant stand being in a vehicle with regular radio only.

I have a Sony head unit with an Aux jack that I plug my XM into. I have the XM unit attached to the center console below the climate control dials. I ran the anntena wire under the dash and up the pillar onto the roof.

I can take some pics if there is interest. Very easy to install.

 

i have a Kenwood deck that is "serious ready" with serious in it and i control it through the desk, on a standard head unit(stock) they make kits that will spice your antenna, and then you switch to that radio station and flip a switch so it is dedicated and you do not get any static because it will act as a "direct input" Then you control it through the standard serious unit whereever you so choose to mount it. and all you have to do is mount your antenna. Just go to the nearest radio shop or best buy or something and ask then for all of the needed items.

 

I have been eyeballing the sirius recievers but I was hopeful that someone had put one of new Jeeps units in an XJ. I havent measured but they look to be larger than my stock CD/Cass, unit.
