Default Wheels???

I am looking to get a new set of wheels for my 01 cherokee. I want to get like a black finish, I was wondering if i should go with the ones with the beadlocks or not. I dont do alot of off roading, maybe 1 or 2 times a month if that. Just wanna see what some other people think. Thanks

Tires and wheels are designed so that, when the tire is inflated, the tire pressure pushes the bead of the tire against the inside of the wheel. Insituations where the tire pressure is low (wheeling) the bead lock is designed to keep the bead in place.

Here is one of the most common wheel's you will see: Cragar soft 8's

I bought a set of these for my Cherokee. Not really a bead lock type but has a nice black finish.

If you drive it on the street I'd steer clear of beadlocks. 1. Very few are DOT approved and the ones that are are $250+ each. 2. You don't really balance a beadlock, most put BBs or something simular in the tire to help. 3. If it is a mostly street vehicle you don't need a beadlock since they are mostly for low pressure wheeling and on the street you don't run low psi. If you really want some buy them in 8 lug and in a week or two give them to me.

everybody's covered it already by saying if you're mostly a street rig...then you don't need beadlocks.

My Jeep had these on it when I got it or else I'd be buying some new rims too..Mickey Thompson Classic-Loks. You can get different colored rings to replace the polished ones...form and little, if any, function
